Hi! We’re Joey and Esmee, a Thai-Dutch intercultural couple, and we’re so happy you found your way to our page

We met on the Thai island of Koh Phangan at the end of March 2025. We spent just one week together, but quickly caught feelings for each other. When Esmee continued her travels to the Philippines, we both realized just how strong those feelings were.

Soon after, we decided we wanted to explore what this connection truly meant. That decision led Esmee back to Thailand in May. What was meant to be a one-month stay turned into nearly two – during that time, we became inseparable.

Now, we’re slowly growing toward a life together. We created this blog to share our journey, the beauty and challenges of an intercultural relationship, and to connect with others who might be walking a similar path.
